"Governing is communicating"
Communication doesn't end at election time. When the campaign comes to an end, and if the candidate wins the election and is in power, multiple new challenges emerge.
Today more than ever before, citizens demand communication from their governments. Societies, just like companies, no longer behave along hierarchical models, but based on an exchange of information, where communication is regarded as one of the duties of government.
At FNC we believe that communication is not simply make-up- rather, that it can be a very effective tool and must be a government instrument. A government that implements a successful communications strategy and enjoys popular support will be able to achieve much more than a government that keeps society misinformed and discontent.
Government communications must face two fronts: the internal one (those who are inside the government) and the external one (the public with whom it wishes to communicate). Within the internal front, a consensus around a set of clear objectives alongside flowing internal communications will enable the government to be successful on the external front.
In the latter, the government should communicate through a unified speech, so that the government's views will become the country's own.
Government communications is not only important during the term in office, but is also very relevant towards the end of a mandate, in order to ensure the best possible departure for the elected official.
FNC has extensive experience in developing and implementing government communication strategies, at the presidential, provincial and municipal levels.
